John Paul joined the Dispute Resolution Department as an Associate in May 2016 having successfully completed his 6 months’ attachment with the Firm. He practices primarily as a civil litigator, appearing as an Instructing Attorney before the Civil Courts. His experience includes researching the law as well as preparing legal opinions, pleadings, procedural documents and evidence in relation to a wide range of civil disputes in a wide range of areas including real property, mortgages, guarantees, landlord and tenant, contentious probate, civil fraud and commercial arbitrations. He also appears at Case Management Conferences, Pre-Trial Reviews, Trials and other interim hearings in the High Court, Court of Appeal and arbitrations.

His non-contentious portfolio includes the preparation of wills, advising on estate planning matters and making applications to the Court for grants of representation (including the re-sealing and exemplification of grants obtained in other jurisdictions), liquor and all other classes of licences, the appointment of a committee or receiver for mentally unfit persons and vesting orders under the Real Property Act.
