Edward qualified as a solicitor and was admitted to practice in Trinidad and Tobago in July 1967 at which time he joined the firm of Pollonais & Blanc.
He was made a partner in 1971 and its Managing Partner in 1982.
When, as a result of a merger, the firm of Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide & Jacelon was formed in 1998, Mr. Collier was appointed its Managing Partner and continued in that office until June 2012. He is now a Consultant to the Firm.
He has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of electricity law relating to generation, transmission and distribution and has been involved in the negotiation and completion of several complex power purchase agreements and related contracts.
He specializes in conveyancing and real property law and has been engaged in many major and complex acquisition and project financing transactions. His expertise in the field of conveyancing and trusts and estates and his meticulous manner of performing his services are well recognized and respected by both corporate and private clients.
He is consulted and provides advice to clients and fellow members of the profession on a wide range of conveyancing and trust and estate matters.
He performs legal services for local and foreign commercial banks, lending institutions, insurance companies and statutory corporations.
