Ranjana was admitted to practice in 2012 in Trinidad and Tobago where she immediately joined the Corporate and Commercial Service Line of Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide and Jacelon.
She was also admitted to practice in 2010 at the Bar of England and Wales and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Prior to her entry in the legal world, Ranjana worked alongside a reputable Canadian company as a Marketing Consultant and she brings this business experience into her practice
Ranjana’s practice focuses mergers & acquisitions, contracts, FIDIC contracts, all major Corporate and Commercial Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, drafting and negotiation of Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements, preparation and review of construction contracts on behalf of both Employer and Contractor. Ranjana has also been engaged in the registration of market actors under the Securities Industry Act and in advising and preparing all documents for SME Initial Public Offerings. She also has experience advising on and writing to regulators with regard to market breaches.
Ranjana also heads the Corporate Secretarial Practice wherein she oversees the preparation and review of Company Documents, Corporate Secretarial Maintenance of Companies; Preparation of Work Permit Applications, Board of Inland Revenue Applications; provision of advice and assistance with registration under Procurement Act.
She is also the Partner in charge of the Intellectual Property Portfolio where she engages in the preparation and filing of Trademark Applications; preparation and filing of Trademark Oppositions, Defence of Trademark Oppositions; Managing Trademark Renewals; Filing Patent Applications; Managing payment of Patent Annuities. She is the Firm Member for the International Trademark Association.
