Lisa has had a varied practice. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales and joined a West End Firm of Solicitors where she instructed in both civil and criminal trials. On return to Trinidad she was engaged as an Associate at Pollonais and Blanc and acted as an instructing attorney and had care and conduct of numerous civil and commercial matters; additionally she acted in a number of personal injury; medical negligence; general insurance law; arbitrations; appellate practice as well as industrial/labour law. She has also drafted commercial contracts including procurement and construction contracts.
At present Lisa heads the Property and Estates Department and acts for most of the major financial institutions throughout Trinidad and Tobago she has care and control of property transactions and prepares Conveyances, Assignments, Leases, Mortgages, Chattel Mortgages, Bills of Sale and Debentures; she acts for a number of real estate developers from acquisition of the lands to completion of the final sales ; she prepares applications for Grants of Representation on behalf of the estates of deceased persons as well as providing general legal advice on all of the above matters; she has also dealt with acquisition of land under the Land Acquisition Act on behalf of the State
