Leela’s legal training commenced in 2006 when she joined the firm as a paralegal in conveyancing practice and procedure in the preparation of deeds and other documents for various land and estate concerns.

She pursued her career in law while working full time with the Firm. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws in 2017 and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2018 following which she then underwent the period of attachment with the Firm and thereafter transitioned as an associate.

She was admitted to practise in 2019 in Trinidad and Tobago where she immediately joined the Property and Estates Service Line of Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide & Jacelon marrying her skills as a paralegal to her legal training as a professional to expand her proficiency in the care and control of property and estate dealings in land law and probate practice including but not limited to general care and conduct in drawing and completing Deeds and Instruments of Conveyance/Transfer, Assignment, Lease, Mortgage, Release/Discharge, Rectification and Confirmation, Variation, Chattel Mortgages, Bills of Sale and the drafting of Wills.
