Mark is an Attorney at Law with over 30 years call. He obtained both his LLB and LLM (International Business Law) at the University of London. He joined the firm of Pollonais & Blanc in 1994, became a Partner of the merged firm of Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide & Jacelon in 1998 and its Managing Partner in 2012 at the age of 41.
Mark is now primarily a conveyancing and real estate Attorney who has also gained experience and knowledge in many areas of commercial practice such as large mergers and acquisitions and tax related matters having practiced in the Firm’s Corporate/Commercial and Property and Estates Practice Groups.
He has a wide range of experience in the following:
• Real estate transactions including conveyances; assignments; leases; mortgages; debentures; real estate joint ventures; commercial and residential development structures; land acquisition; the legal aspects of financing and financing structures; and
• Estate matters; the administration of estates; advising on estate planning including advising on and setting up personal and business trusts in Trinidad and Tobago and in other Caribbean jurisdictions.
He is a great asset to any transaction due to his experience in commercial matters, the legal aspects of tax matters and extensive knowledge of deal structures and works alongside our Corporate/Commercial Practice Group to render advice where necessary on the structuring of large commercial transactions.
