Summary of Experience

Yukmai Marsang rejoined the Firm in March 2015 as one of its consultants. Prior thereto, she was Vice President Law at Atlantic LNG Company of Trinidad and Tobago (“Atlantic”) from 2006 to September 2014. During her time at Atlantic she managed the law department and provided legal advice and support to all areas of the business. This included all matters related to the liquefaction of natural gas at Atlantic’s four train LNG facility, involvement in negotiations related to the amendment of gas supply and LNG purchase agreements, international financing, procurement of goods and services both internationally and locally for the facility and shareholder issues related to the governance structure of the Atlantic companies.  

Ms. Marsang also handled matters related to the real property, the environment and health and safety. Her responsibilities included providing advice on human resource matters, corporate governance including matters related to the code of ethics and managing all litigation in which the company was involved.  She was a member of the Leadership Team and other committees. 

Prior to her first consultancy with the Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide and Jacelon which occurred from 1995 to 2006 Ms. Marsang was the Assistant Vice President - Legal and Country Compliance Officer to Citibank (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited and its local subsidiary Citicorp Merchant Bank Limited during which time she gained extensive working experience in financial structuring and financial product innovation, reviewing and structuring capital market products and their introduction into the local capital markets. 

As a consultant to the Firm of Pollonais & Blanc and the merged Firm of Pollonais, Blanc, de la Bastide & Jacelon her practice involved the provision of legal advice and drafting of documentation related to a wide range of banking, finance, project finance, securities and corporate matters, transactions and products including foreign and local currency loan and collateral agreements, collective investment schemes, asset-backed investment securities and the securitization of assets including consumer and commercial loans, mortgages, lease receivables and bond payments. 

Ms. Marsang’s practice areas are local and international financing, securities, energy and corporate law and corporate governance.
